5. Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site
For a better understanding of the historic roots of one of the single most important individuals of the 20th century, we recommend visiting the famed Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site. Just to make things clear – we’re talking here about THE legendary man who played a pivotal role in imposing equality between African Americans and whites in 1960s America. As far as most important places to go in Georgia are concerned, this is the mother load. You’ll also be able to visit his home and the Ebenezer Baptist Church where you can hear some of his most moving sermons.
