7. Callaway Gardens
Industrialist Cason Callaway established Callaway Gardens as a leisure center on Pine Mountain, just north of Columbus. Containing a butterfly house, gardens of azaleas and magnolias, as well as artificial lakes, this man-made natural attraction is a popular site today ranked among the best places to visit in Georgia. This goes for both nature lovers and architecture fans, as Callaway Gardens combines both. Numerous walking trails and two excellent golf courses are also found on site.
