10. Forsyth Park, Savannah
It’s no secret that the city of Savannah is home to a plethora of beautifully designed squares and parks. Forsyth Park is the perfect example of the latter; a picture-perfect representative of a carefully engineered mid-1800s Southern park, this is also the largest green surface of its kind in the city. Travelers who set out to explore Savannah should undoubtedly visit this oasis of lush greenery. It boasts tons of old trees that drape over the landscape, creating much needed areas of shade, but also numerous walking trails and a quaint period fountain.
