10. Petrified Forest National Park
This incredibly bizarre-looking tourist attraction is home to tons of fossilized reptiles, fish and plants, as well as petrified wood (hence the name). And if you happen to be on the market for close up views of a variety of unique sights here, you’ll want to take advantage of the park access roads. As far as places to go in Arizona are concerned, the Petrified Forest should be one of your priorities, because it’s very characteristic. In fact, probably the best place to start before heading out on the drive is the Visitors Center, which provides ample insight into the geology and ecology of the park.
