5. Mount Batur
While not even one of Bali’s highest points, Mount Batur is the dominating factor on the landscape of the northeastern part of the island. The peak of the mountain has a lake, several villages, and four craters, because it’s an occasionally active volcano. Walking up the top of the mountain is a very popular activity, something most people do in about an hour and a half. Pura Ulun Danu Batur, another one of Bali’s nine greatest temples is also situated on Mount Batur, making it another point of interest to visitors.
