10. Chugach State Park
This is officially the third largest park in the United States; one that visitors to Anchorage should undoubtedly book a trip to without second thought. Truly one of the best places to visit in Alaska, it is home to such animals as great horned owls and delicious salmon. Beluga Point is a great spot to view some white wales, and the park itself is home to the legendary Iditarod Trail, which traverses between Nome and Iditarod.
