10. Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of the best tourist attraction in New York City. This is the largest art museum in the United States of America and one of the most visited art museums in the world.

The main building is very big and, generally, this institution has a collection of art works from the ancient Egypt and classical antiquity, various paintings, sculptures and a collection of modern art. 9. The Chrysler Building

Another skyscraper worthy of our attention is the Chrysler Building. This building was the tallest in the world from May 27, 1930 to April 30, 1931, when the Empire State Building took the lead. The Chrysler Building, however, was never owned by this company although it was designed for the car manufacturer.

8. The National September 11 Memorial & Museum

We all know about the tragic terrorist attack which occurred in the USA on September 11, 2001. The 9/11 Memorial Museum commemorates the nearly 3,000 victims which died in this terrible attack. The memorial is located in the place of the former World Trade Center, also known as the Twin Tower.

Although this tourist attraction is a bit sadder, one should visit this place and pray for the souls of those who didn’t make it.

The New York Public Library is the 2nd largest public library in the US and the 4th largest in the world. It is huge and all the knowledge it has is protected by 2 big lions. Main attractions of this magnificent building are the Lego lions inside the library. Moreover, the library has a copy of the Gutenberg Bible.

4. The Empire State Building

As soon as you step into Manhattan, you will find yourself in another world, a world of skyscrapers, huge billboards and a lot of people. 3. Central Park

Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States of America, and also one of the most filmed locations in the world. Annually, this park is visited by around 37.5 million people. It is quite big; it has an area of 341 ha.

The flora and fauna are also quite diverse, and because the park is open all year round, you can observe all these beauties whenever you feel comfortable. This park is perfect in a city with such skyscrapers, it feels like a refuge.

Times Square is the same as shown in the movies; very busy pedestrian intersection, with massive billboards, a lot of people of different nationality, offering the impression that you are at a very low level, given that the place is surrounded by tall buildings.

You have a feeling of being super small among all those big elements, but you get used to it after a while. This intersection was known as the Longacre Square in the past, but it was renamed after The New York Times moved its main office to the Times Building, in 1904. After visiting Times Square you will want to visit it again and again; this place is magical.

The Statue of Liberty is the symbol of New York City. This copper statue can be observed on the Liberty Island in New York Harbor. Yes, you can go up to her crown and take a look at New York City from up there. This is one of the best places to see in New York.

There are helicopter tours on the island, you can check out Manhattan from above. This copper woman is a gift from France people to America after the latter gained independence.
