10. Taal, Philippines
The Taal Volcano is an active volcano, located 50 km south from Manila, in the middle of a 243 square meters lake that carries the same name. The scenery of the Taal from the ridge Tagaytay is considered to be one of the most breathtaking and attractive from the Philippines.
The Taal erupted for the last time in 1977, but nowadays it is observed that periodically its crater releases hot vapors, and seismologists regularly register underground activity. The largest eruption occurred in 1754 – it lasted 200 days!
